Marikarmen Free

Marikarmen Free is a DJ and activist with ties to anarchist, anti-incarceration and psychiatric abolition movements. An intersex person, of Romani ethnicity and Andalusian origins, Free has participated in the organisation of Mad Pride, Furia Trans Autonoma, Trans-Block (former Guerrilla Travolaka) and is currently a member of Insania, a collective of psychiatric survivors. Marikarmen has also collaborated in the intersectional space of living and collaborative arts Diversorium, while further offering sexual assistance services to individuals with functional diversity. Free has participated in the documentary Guerriller@s (2012) and the film Vivir y otras ficciones (2016), audiovisual projects that address the sexuality of trans and disabled individuals in Spain.
