Maribel Izcue

Maribel Izcue (San Sebastian, 1976) is a journalist and has spent much of her career in Asia, where she worked for a decade in the Philippines, India and Japan as a correspondent for Agencia Efe. At the Tokyo delegation, which she directed from June 2011 until her return to Spain in 2013, she covered the consequences of the tsunami and the Fukushima nuclear crisis. Co-founder and editor-in-chief of 5W, she has also served as a correspondent in Rome and has collaborated with media such as El Periódico de Catalunya.
