Luis Feduchi Benlliure
Luis Feduchi Benlliure (Madrid, 1932) is a doctor has trained as a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. He has devoted a considerable part of his professional life to studying and treating problems associated with adolescence. He also gives training courses and seminars on different aspects of this stage of development, discussing the issues from both theoretical and clinical standpoints. He works in a range of institutions supervising the clinical work and treatments offered by specialist teams (psychotherapies, day hospital care, work on emigration, mentorship, et cetera). From 1984 to the present day he has been working with and supervising technical teams, youth care staff, mediation and reparation programmes, and victim care in the Department of Juvenile Justice. He has published several books on clinical work with and treatment of adolescents and also matters related with justice for minors (interviews, violence, identity, among others). In 2008 he received an award from the Department of Justice of the Generalitat (Government) of Catalonia for his work supervising teams in the field of juvenile justice over twenty-four years.
