Lluís Vallvé

Director of the Sant Andreu Educational Resources Centre and head of the artistic support programme of the Barcelona Education Consortium, Lluís Vallvé has combined teaching in the visual and plastic arts with cultural management and reflection on the role of education. He has taken part in drafting proposals for educational innovation in different spheres, among them the Creators in Residence programme, and several projects for the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) and the Department of Education. As a cultural agent, he has organised jazz programmes and curated the “Discovering Gaudí” exhibitions for schools in Barcelona as well as creative spaces bringing together farmers and sculptors in the form of the “New Haystacks” shows. The transversal nature of his work has been recognised with many prizes and awards, notable amongst which are the Science Museum Experiences Prize, the MITJANS Prize, and the Marta Mata Award for Pedagogy.
