Lara Saiz
Lara Saiz Presmanes was born in Santander in 1978. She graduated in Physical Science from the University of Cantabria in the year 2003. She started her professional career in the world of astronomy and space in the year 2006, when she was awarded a training scholarship at the Astronomic Observatory of Cantabria. Following a year working at this centre, she moved to Madrid, where she joined the team of the PARTNeR project. This is an academic project for the dissemination of radio astronomy that uses one of the NASA radio telescopes located at the Space Communications Complex of Madrid, in Robledo de Chavela. She is currently working at the Space Complex itself, carrying out scientific communication tasks relating to NASA space missions, as well as to the important role played by our country in communications with the spacecraft that this space agency has distributed around our Solar System. Her main interest focuses on planetary missions, and very especially on the exploration of Mars.
