La Modesta

La Modesta is a pedagogical project, led by students past and present and teachers at the Massana School, which focuses its practice on the frameworks of self-publishing, printing and the anarchive.

It was set up in 2015 as a documentary collection with the aim of working collectively on a reference archive, with an orientation that allows reflection on publications produced in pedagogical contexts.

Most of these publications are ephemeral in nature and can be considered as materials of interest to the whole educational community as research: experimental printing systems, nonlinear narratives, a transfeminist perspective of publication formats, body and archive politics, and so on. Many of these editions are sometimes threatened by oblivion, and this project aims to conserve them.
