Juan Carlos Montiel
An architect, he is managing director of Barcelona Regional - Agència de Desenvolupament Urbanístic i d’Infraestructures (Barcelona Regional – Agency for Urban Planning and Infrastructure Development).
He was formerly director of Urban Planning of the 22@bcn municipal society, which was in charge of renovating the industrial areas of Poblenou, and expert adviser for the company Infraestructures de Llevant, which was working on the transformation of the Forum zone of Barcelona. In the early 1990s he worked with the Institut Municipal de Promoció Urbanística i dels Jocs (Municipal Institute for Urban Planning and Games Promotion) as well as in several departments of the Barcelona City Council. He has given classes and courses in different universities and at the School of Architecture of Barcelona.
