José Luis Trejo
President of the Spanish Brain Council
José Luis is a research scientist for the Cajal Institute in Madrid at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). He particularly investigates the effects of lifestyle on the brain and cognition, specifically the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in intergenerational and transgenerational inheritance, as well as their role in spatial navigation, both in laboratory animals and humans, and their involvement in social behaviour and pain processes. He's been Vice-Director of the Cajal-CSIC Institute and Secretary and Vice-President of the Spanish Society of Neuroscience (SENC). He's currently President of the Spanish Brain Council and President of one of the funding panels of the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) in Belgium.
