Jonathan Ames

Writer, former boxer, dissolute, one-man show, stand-up comic and creator of the HBO series Bored to Death, Jonathan Ames (New York, 1964) is a self-deprecating narrator of his woes and misadventures who has published several books, including Wake up Sir! (2004) and the graphic novel The Alcoholic (2008). He makes regular appearances on David Letterman’s well-known late show and, for the launch of his latest novel, he let a certain Throwdini throw knives at him.
