Jon Langford

Leader of the great band The Mekons, and of parallel projects The Three Johns and Waco Brothers (among many others). With the first, he shaped self-managed post-punk, before going on to mix punk and country, punk and folk, with surprising results. Jon Langford is also a painter, anti-death-penalty activist and, as shown in the great documentary The Revenge of the Mekons (winner of the last Beefeater In-Edit festival), also a skilful dancer.
