In 2018, his debut feature film was screened: Samantha Hudson: una historia de fe, sexo y electro-queer (Samantha Hudson: a story of faith, sex, and electro-queerness, Filmin). The film was shortlisted at very many national and international film festivals and won the Audience Award for Best Spanish Work at the LesGaiCineMad festival.
In 2020, his first feature film Sempre Dijous (Always Thursday), which chronicled a year of singer Júlia Colom’s creative process, won the Jury Prize for Best National Documentary at the 2020 In-Edit Festival (Barcelona).
He currently is engaged in the production process for La carn (The Flesh): a film on sexual and emotional relationships through chatroulette.com, which explores the boundaries between fiction and documentary. It also portrays the creative process followed by the young choreographer Lluis Garau.
As well as making non-fiction cinema, Porcel has also ventured into still photography; directing music videos, TV documentaries, and workshops in universities; and creative directing in advertising campaigns.
