Joan Canimas

With a PhD in Philosophy, he is a lecturer at the University of Girona where the main area of his professional activity is applied ethics in social action, psycho-educational and health matters, and in philosophy of education. His research has focused on applied ethics in the social-health domain, and he has also analysed the role of education and ethics in today’s world from the social perspective. He has published several books, notable amongst which are Ètica aplicada a l’educació social (UOC, 2011) and Com resoldre problemàtiques ètiques? (UOC, 2015), as well contributing to numerous jointly authored works. He is a member of the Ethical Committee of the Social Services of Catalonia, the Research and Biosecurity Committee of the University of Girona, and others.
