Joan Burdeus

Philosopher and cultural critic

Joan Burdeus is a graduate in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona and holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Universitat Ramon Llull. He works as a cultural critic for various media, but most of his work is for Núvol, the digital magazine for culture in Catalan, where he is head of the Opinion and Screens sections, and publishes articles on television, cinema, digital culture and contemporary thought every week. He was editor-in-chief of the documentary series Lògic: Arxiu Cultural, betevé. He has worked on various fiction projects as a scriptwriter and director, such as the short film Trobar-te (2018), selected at a number of festivals, and the web series Welcome to Berlin, runner-up at the Festival Zoom Igualada 2017.
