Isabel Rodà

Professor of Archaeology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), she has combined teaching and research with her work as technical curator at the Art and History museums of the Barcelona City Council, as well as being director of the Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology (ICAC). As a researcher, she has specialised in Roman archaeology, in particular with studies of Latin epigraphy and Roman sculpture. She has been a Research Associate at the University of California, Berkeley (1987 and 1991) and Visiting Professor (Officer) at Harvard University (2004). In addition to her teaching and research work, she has curated several national and international exhibitions on Roman archaeology, notable amongst which are “Tarraco, Gateway to Rome” (2001 – 2002) and “Rome SPQR” (2006-2007).
