Eva Piquer
A cultural journalist and writer, she has been founder, editor, and director since 2014 of the literary digital publication Catorze, which received the LletrA Prize for Digital Projects (2015), the National Prize for Culture (2018), and the Marta Mata Prize (2020). She has lectured in Journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and has also worked as a New York correspondent and as literary director of the Thassàlia publishing house, as well as coordinating the cultural supplement of the daily Avui. In recognition of her career in the media, she was awarded the Atlàntida Prize for the Best Columnist in Catalan. As the author of thirteen books, she has received several awards, among them the Vaixell de Vapor (1996), the Marian Vayreda (1999), and the Josep Pla (2002) prizes. Her latest book, Aterratge (Landing, Club Editor, 2023), is a novel about survival that narrates a literal and a metaphorical landing.
