Doris Buddenberg

Doris Buddenberg is a member of the AAN Advisory Board. She read Slavonic studies, economics and ethnology at Heidelberg University and, for more than 25 years, has been working on drug issues in the field from Latin America to Asia, as well as at the headquarters of multilateral and bilateral agencies in Europe and the United States. Her work has covered most aspects of illicit drug control from strategy development to project management, including the management of large-scale programmes and leading international research on the economic aspects of drug economies. Her recent work included global anti-human trafficking programmes and criminal justice. She is currently focussing on her favourite crop: opium.
