Diego Falconí

Diego Falconí Trávez (Quito, 1979) is a lawyer focused on human rights and an academic in literary theory and comparative literature. He is a lecturer in Literary Theory at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a researcher at the School of Law at the San Francisco University of Quito. His research focuses on the analysis of literary and cultural texts related to gender, decoloniality, and anti-racism, as well as the intersections between literature and law. He has written several monographs and specialized publications related to queer and cuy-r sexual dissidence, the cultural construction of the contemporary Andes, and Latin American migrations in Spain and Catalonia. He is part of the anti-colonial movement in Barcelona. He won the 2016 Casa de las Américas award in the essay category.
