David Saurí

After obtaining an arts degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1981, and with a Fulbright-Caixa scholarship, he studied Geography at Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts, where he obtained a PhD in 1990. He also has a PhD in Geography from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) where he has taught and is still teaching Geography, Environmental Sciences, and East Asian Studies. Since February 2005, he has been professor of Human Geography at the UAB. His research field is the water cycle in cities and the impact of climate change in Catalonia, especially in the area of tourism. He also teaches in the master’s degree and PhD programmes at the UAB in Geography, Environmental Sciences, and Global East Asian Studies. He has supervised some 20 PhD theses and many other research projects.
