Carles Forres

Editor and scriptwriter

Studied Audiovisual Communication at Pompeu Fabra University, where he co-directed the short film Cendres [Ashes] (2017) and co-organized the film club Aidez. She did an Erasmus at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, in Cinéma et Audiovisuelle. There, he collaborated as a sound engineer on the short film La forêt de l'espace (2018) by Victor Missud (Special Mention at Visions du Réel) and made several documentary shorts. Later, he participated in the organization and programming of the retrospective of Isaki Lacuesta and Nami Kawase's work at the Film Department of the Pompidou Center. In Barcelona he co-directed with Mireia Schröder his first feature film, Cineclub (2020), about the disappeared cineclub, which premiered at the Festival D'A. He is currently studying Catalan philology and works at the Pompidou Center as a film director. Torres is interested in editing and experimental cinema related to poetry. Together with Ona Balló and Isaki Lacuesta, he premiered at the Filmoteca "Gosar Poder" and "Poetes", two films about the fifty years of the Price.
