Blanca Callén

Blanca Callén is a researcher and teacher in the field of social studies of science and technology, and collective political action. She also develops cultural and social innovation projects through design and material creation by means of the GRIGRI Projects platform, of which she is co-founder. In recent years, she has worked on electronic waste and residues in a context of climate emergency. Her work draws on participatory methodologies and critical eco-feminist thinking. She teaches on the Psychology degree at the University of Vic and the master’s degree in Contemporary Philosophical Challenges at the UOC. She is a co-founder and active member of Associació Restarters BCN, devoted to promoting alternatives to programmed obsolescence and the culture of repair for the ecological and economic transition of Barcelona.
