Berni Puig
Visual artist
Berni Puig (Castellbell i el Vilar, 1990) is a visual artist. In his work, he uses geometries and primary colours to create compositions that search for the limit between figuration and the abstract so that the spectator completes the piece through imagination, play or interaction.
Trained in illustration at the Escola Massana de Barcelona (Catalonia) and engraving at the Centro Internacional de la Estampa Contemporánea de Betanzos (Galicia), since 2017, he has lived in the cultural and artistic centre Konvent in Cal Rosal (Barcelona) where he studies and assists in the management of the centre. In 2020, he presented Omnipresent, his most important and prestigious artistic work to date, a mural in the church of Penelles, one of the first Catalan churches to have a contribution by a contemporary artist. His stay in Lleida’s Terres de Ponent lay the foundations for his interest in the conflict involving the seasonal fruit workers.
