Ben Brooks
At 20-something, with a mental fringe, a reasonable career as a recreational user of ketamine and a novel up and running (Grow up, 2011), young Englishman Ben Brooks (Gloucestershire, 1992) is truly an example of today’s teenage superego. His first novel might have been written by a 19-year-old Tom Sharpe, and his narrative voice combines the key elements of experiential narrative with blood and guts: distance, craft, constraint, brevity, sense of humour, sense of the ridiculous, pace and imagination.
His blog is Ben Brooks Lives Here.
