Antoni Segura

Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Barcelona

Antoni Segura is a professor of Contemporary History at Universitat de Barcelona and Director of CIDOB. He holds a PhD in Contemporary History and specialises in conflict analyses, the Franco dictatorship and the transition to democracy. He has written and edited numerous books, the latest dedicated to the Arab-Islamic world and the Arab Spring movements: The Spanish Transition and the Arab Spring (2012) and Estados Unidos, el islam y el nuevo orden mundial (2013). He regularly collaborates with the media and periodically publishes analyses and op-ed pieces.
