Ali Benmakhlouf

Professor of Arab Philosophy and Logic at the University Paris-Est Créteil. Throughout his work he has vindicated the Arab heritage of European culture and philosophy. His work was recognised in 2014 with the Chevalier de l’ordre national du Mérite conferred by the Ministry of Education. Among his recent books are Pourquoi lire les philosophes arabes (Albin Michel, 2015) and La conversation comme manière de vivre (Albin Michel, 2016), in which he explores the tradition of conversation in human relations.
