Àlex Broch

Writer and literary critic

With a degree in Romance Philology, he has been a lecturer in Contemporary Catalan Literature at the Rovira i Virgili University (1995-2005) and, since 1995, in History of Universal Theatre at the Theatre Institute of Barcelona. He has also been director of collections of the publishing house Magrana, deputy literary director at Edicions 62 and Península, and literary advisor at Edicions Proa. In addition to publishing work in several jointly authored books, he has researched the presence in Barcelona of foreign fiction and also the critical work of Josep Maria Castellet, two areas of inquiry in which he has published numerous articles.
