Alba Camarasa

A poet and social educator, she set out on her literary career in 2003 when she won some local and regional prizes for prose while also publishing stories like Carles i les estrelles (Carles and the Stars), La dona (The Woman) and Caçador de destins (Hunter of Destinies). In 2007 she had Josep Piera as her teacher in the Valencia Poetry School and this marked a before and after in her way of feeling and understanding poetry. In 2008 she won the Bancaixa Prize and the Jordi de Sant Jordi de La Vall d’Uixó Prize. Her work has appeared in anthologies, including the volume Tibar l’arc: Una mirada a la poesia valenciana actual (Tense the Bow: A Look at Valencian Poetry Today, Tria, 2012), and she works on a regular basis with digital media publications like Catorze.
