Robert Forster (The Go-Betweens) & Part Company
Primera Persona 2013
Why do people who read Dostoevsky dress like Dostoevsky? He doesn’t, despite having read the Russians. Because he’s the most elegant pop-music dandy and one of the most talented songwriters in recent decades. Australian Robert Forster secured his place on the Olympus of cult pop music with The Go-Betweens, a band much esteemed among composers of all sorts since the eighties. For Primera Persona, he gave an exclusive recital of his own songs and those from his days with the band. Forster was accompanied on stage by Part Company (or, as he rebaptised them, ‘Els Micacos’ - the loquats), a band put together specially for the festival featuring some of the most noteworthy names on the Catalan indie scene with global renown: Fred i Son, Evripidis Sabatis and Adrián de Alfonso.
Participants: Robert Forster (The Go-Betweens), Fred i Son, Evripidis and His Tragedies, Adrián de Alfonso (Veracruz, Bèstia Ferida, Capitán, Don The Tiger)
