The Mask Never Lies
With or Without Sugar: Conversations in Museums
Tour of the exhibition "The Mask Never Lies" for senior citizens
As part of a programme of tours for senior citizens organised by a group of Barcelona museums, the CCCB is holding a guided tour of the exhibition "The Mask Never Lies", followed by a talk over coffee.
From 2 February to 6 April 2022, a group of museums in the city are organising "Amb sucre o sense" (With or Without Sugar), a programme of ten Wednesday-afternoon talks aimed at senior citizens. The proposal includes a separate tour of each museum, followed by the chance to talk further about the museum's exhibitions over a cup of coffee. People who wish to take part don't require any previous knowledge of the subject matter of each session, just the desire to share the knowledge that comes from their own experience.
On 9 March, the CCCB is holding a guided tour of the exhibition "The Mask Never Lies", a journey through the political uses of masks in modern society. During the tour, we will reflect on whether the history of our time can be explained through such an important symbol as the mask. And we will discover an underground history spanning the last hundred and fifty of masks that infiltrate the political and social landscapes.
