In the Chinese city. Perspectives on the transmutations of an Empire
The Dilemmas of Tibet
Debate
Free
For decades now, Tibet has been engaged in a complex national and cultural conflict with the government of China. With an identity of its own, Tibet is a land of great extension and low population density in which Tibetans are now becoming a minority. Unknown and yet highly politicised, Tibet today has revealed some of the cracks in the great power of China, in a highly-nuanced conflict that harks back to great dilemmas of a universal nature. This lecture will offer an analysis of the present situation of Tibet and is a complement to the exhibition "In the Chinese city. Perspectives on the transmutations of an Empire".
