The 8th edition of the festival will be held at the CCCB from 20 to 24 October. At Serielizados Fest the public can enjoy premieres of TV series and documentaries, talks with directors, screenwriters and actors, as well as masterclasses for professionals.
The International TV Series Festival of Barcelona, Serielizados Fest, will take place from 19 to 24 October 2021 in Barcelona and subsequently in Madrid (from 27 to 30 October). Apart from these events, the festival will also repeat its hybrid format, offering part of the programming online via the Filmin platform (from 19 to 30 October).
The programme includes premieres of new series and documentaries, talks with world-renowned showrunners and directors, tributes to established talent and a commitment to uncovering new talent with the 8th Fiction Pilots Showcase.
Also noteworty are two documentaries (A Sopranos Session and Louis Theroux: Shooting Joe Exotic) and nine series (Mironins, Black Port, The End, Journey, Pørni, Tu Préferès, #martyisdead, Nafas, and the original Euphoria).
The festival is also holding the 8th Fiction Pilots Showcase where the best emerging talent can present their TV and online series in an online and on-site competition (in Barcelona, Igualada and Madrid), as well as being a chance for young creators and industry professionals to get together. The Showcase is co-organised with the Zoom International Festival of Audiovisual Content of Catalonia and is supported by DAMA.
The third GAC Series Pitching Forum will also be held, organised by the Catalan screenwriters' association (Guionistes Associats de Catalunya) and Serielizados Fest. A selection of projects will be pitched to TV channels and platforms and receive mentoring with two tutorials.
