The life of others is a permanent questioning of one’s own way of life. There are many ways of experiencing this interpellation: tolerance, indifference, violence or the imaginary act of seeing oneself as another. This lecture presents philosophy and literature as key tools for imagining the lives of those we refer to as “others”.
This lecture by the Italian philosopher Remo Bodei, professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and at theScuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, is programmed in the Barcelona Pensa festival. He is to be presented by Manuel Cruz, professor of Contemporary Philosophy at the University of Barcelona.
