Illuminated Hours. Programme 3: Jerome Hiler's cinema in the present tense

Audiovisuals

This session forms part of a ten-programme cycle entitled Illuminated Hours. The devotional cinema of Nathaniel Dorsky and Jerome Hiler, organised in collaboration with the Filmoteca de Catalunya and Zumzeig Cinema, including a large part of their respective filmographies. The screenings are accompanied by an installation by Nathaniel Dorsky and the publication of a book on the early days of cinema and shared life of these two filmmakers.

In Jerome Hiler's films, the boundless intensity of the colours and their associations in multiple superimpositions construct scenes of an unusual plasticity. This session brings together the four films that Hiler shot and completed in the last decade, in which he alternates visions of the objective world with polymorphous images of a weightless world, representative of states of mind.
