Sade

Guided visit in English to the "Sade. Freedom or Evil" exhibition

Friends of the CCCB

Exclusive for Friends of the CCCB

Presentation and guided tour to the exhibition by the curator Alyce Mahon.

Sade was a clandestine and censored writer who was imprisoned, but is now a classic of French literature. He was acclaimed as a revolutionary who supported freedom, whilst arousing scandal and outrage.

The exhibition looks at the stereotypes associated with his name and explores the aesthetic, philosophical and political implications of his legacy. Sade challenges us to confront the most disturbing aspects of human nature.
