Two wars in 10 years. Between 100,000 and 200,000 dead. The entire world has its eyes turned away from this region of Russia.

Grozny, chronicle of a disappearance

Produced by Manon Loizeau, 2003, 45' 48'', a production of CAPA TV France, Catalan subtitles

Manon Loizeau is a journalist for the CAPA press agency. In March 2003, she filmed a clandestine documentary about this forgotten conflict.

This documentary is a record of how the population survived in the capital, Grozny, partially destroyed and still in a state of war. With a hidden camera, Manon Loizeau discovered corners of life where it had supposedly been eradicated: the maternity hospital (thirty or so births a day); Adam, a true survivor of the Russian death squads...
