At the age of 58, Gloria is as innocent as she was when she married, 30 years previously. Now separated with grown-up children, she is lonely and looking for something to fill the emptiness. She takes up hobbies during the day and goes dancing at night, hoping for more than the insignificant flings she actually finds. At a party she meets Rodolfo, who seems to offer a way out of all that superficiality and loneliness.
