Europe, Laboratory of Ideas
Debate
The historian Enzo Traverso speaks about the importance of the cultural and political legacy of the twentieth century when thinking about Europe today.
The twentieth century often appears in shared memory as one of the most violent periods in the history of Europe, but its intellectual and political legacy also contains a host of voices that have expanded the frontiers of thought in the quest for justice and emancipation. The historian Enzo Traverso is a specialist in twentieth-century political and intellectual movements. In this session, he talks with writer and philologist Jordi Amat and invites us to take a critical look at the relationship between culture and politics in European history and its value when thinking about the future.
