This session presents three of Nathaniel Dorsky’s latest works. The Return explores the darker side of the spectrum of film, black, and its relation with light; the elegiac August and After is dedicated to two recently deceased friends, mythical filmmaker George Kuchar and the actress Carla Liss, and April shows how beauty can be the result of a period of sadness. Afterwards, the editors of Lumière magazine will present the Spanish language translation of Dorsky’s book Devotional Cinema.
