Animated Bestiary
Final screening of Bioscopi with music by Los Sara Fontán and VJ Estampa
Education + Music
Free with pre-booking
We’re celebrating the second instalment of the Bioscopi project with a afternoon dedicated to animated film, biology and speculation! We invite you to come along to the CCCB to share with us the world premiere – on a giant screen – of the great atlas of imaginary beings that we have been creating with the creatures you have sent us.
What would microscopic, medium-sized and giant beings be like, that are capable of living on planet Earth or in extreme conditions like those on Mars? Bioscopi: Imaginary Creatures proposed three animation exercises in the field of speculative zoology, using imagination and cinematographic techniques such as stop-motion and artificial intelligence.
In this second edition of Bioscopi, we have received more than 200 animations from over 700 participants from all over Catalonia. The outcome? This atlas of imaginary creatures, which will come to life to the beat of music by Los Sara Fontán, streamed live by the Estampa collective.
Participants: Estampa, Los Sara Fontán
