Animac 2023 at CCCB

Animac presents in Barcelona the new contents and programme of the 27th International Animation Film Festival of Catalonia, to be held in Lleida from 23 to 26 February. Under the slogan "Latam BOOM!", this year's edition will celebrate the creativity of Latin American animation.

We bring back one of the most successful conferences of the last Animac edition, the "Conchirencia" with Rafillo, creator of Querida Conchi, a bizarre comedy web series that follows the life of an elderly couple. Rafillo has managed to make a place for himself on social networks thanks to pieces of boundless originality, an epileptic mix of character and movie references with pure meme-culture humour. He will share with us how he works, the impossible metamorphoses and the creativity of this series and other animations that have attracted the attention of television channels such as Cartoon Network (Adult Swim) and Fox.

Rafillo "in person" will talk about his series Querida Conchi, the most transgressive web series for adults of the moment.

They spend many hours in front of the screen and... What the hell do artists see and hear to feed their creativity? Rafillo and the cartoonist Roberta Vázquez challenge any artificial intelligence by handling tons of information in a dialogue with images in which anything is possible.

 

Animac 2023 at the CCCB is a non-profit cultural activity organised by Lleida City Council, with the support of the ICEC – Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals, the ICAA – Instituto de la Cinematografía y las Artes Audiovisuales and Filmin.
