Amazons
«Amazons» for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Visitors
Visit with sign language
Access
A commented tour of the exhibition made by a deaf person signing in Catalan Sign Language (LSC), accompanied by an interpreter who will provide voice so that hearing people can also follow the visit. In addition, we have a magnetic loop so that hearing impaired people who use hearing aids or cochlear implants can also enjoy the activity.
"Amazonia. The ancestral future" takes us into the immense natural and cultural wealth of the territory, cities and indigenous communities of the Amazon to learn about its intimate and integrated relationship with nature. We will also see how the idea of "virgin jungle" has served to justify the exploitation of the territory and indigenous peoples, and the enormous ecological impact of a region that is central to the future of the planet.
Visit by Pedro Frigola i Solé, a deaf person, graduated in geography and certified teacher of Catalan sign language.
