Agnès Varda
Agnès Varda for Blind and Partially Sighted Visitors
Adapted guided tour
Access
We accompany visitors through the exhibition and propose a series of sensorial experiences, and explanations and descriptions to explore the themes presented.
Agnès Varda was a photographer, artist and filmmaker, and a pioneer of the Nouvelle Vague. The exhibition traces the life, work and fascinating stories of a free, modern creator who was committed to her political and social environment. The most common themes of her work are social exclusion, sometimes cruel, new ways of life and women’s struggles. The message she aims to convey is the pleasure of discovering and sharing, and the importance of modernizing our outlook.
The visit comprises descriptions of the space and museography, following the curatorial story and making tactile explorations of objects in the gallery or others created to complement the explanations. There are also readings of texts and auditory accounts of exhibited pieces, as well as audio descriptions that we have created for specific pieces. To do this, we have involved several professionals in the design of the visit: Quim Módenes, cultural mediator and expert in the design of accessible visits, and Maria Magdalena Garzón, pedagogue and creator in dance, with the collaboration of Júlia Pujols, producer of audiovisuals with audio descriptions. The visits are conducted with the team of mediators of Re-Crea Accions Culturals.
