Youssef Safieddine

Youssef Safieddine (Lebanon/Senegal)
Whose father left Lebanon in 1925 to go to Guinea, settled in Dakar in 1947. In 1955 he worked as assistant to the Lebanese studio photographer and priest Anis Kassis and a year later opened Studio Safieddine. In 1958 he got married to Fatmeh Rozz, with whom he has three children. In 1964, he received further training at the school of photography in Leverkusen (Munich). Today, his assistants cover official ceremonies and weddings, and take photographs for ID documents. Studio Safieddine is now above all a colour photography laboratory.
