Xosé M. Núñez Seixas
PhD in Contemporary History at the European University Institute of Florence and professor in the same subject at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. His fields of research are the comparative and transnational history of nationalisms and territorial identities in Europe, as well as the social and cultural history of war, the history of fascism and the memory of war and dictatorships. His recent books include The First World War and the Nationality Question in Europe (Brill Academic Pub, 2020), Wolf's Lairs: Memories of Authoritarian Europe, 1945-2020 (Editorial Crítica, 2021), The Spanish Blue Division on the Eastern Front, 1941-1945 (University of Toronto Press, 2022), Back to Stalingrad. The Eastern Front in European Memory, 1945-2021 (Galaxia Gutenberg, 2022) and Beyond Folklore? The Franco Regime and Ethnoterritorial Diversity in Spain, 1930-1975 (Routledge, 2023). He is vice-president of the Consello da Cultura Galega and a regular contributor to El País, TintaLibre and La Maleta de Portbou.
