Wazhma Frogh

Wazhma Frogh is Executive Board Member of Afghan Women’s Network (AWN). Ms. Frogh, the former Afghanistan Country Director of Global Rights is a graduate of International Development Law and Human Rights from Warwick University, UK. For the past 15 years, Ms. Frogh has devoted her career for the mobilization of social change to benefit Afghan women focusing on issues of peace and security, legislative advocacy and public policy engagement from a women’s perspective. She has vast specialized training on peace and security,women in leadership and public policy from institutions like Warwick University- UK Harvard and George Washington Universities in the U.S. In her engagement with AWN, Ms. Frogh helps maintain ongoing dialogue and networking with key government institutions, members of international community, national and international NGOs, activities and research entities to promote democratic participation and gender equality.
