Vladivostok

Vladivostok are poems spoken by the fingers of Maria Callís and set to music from head to toe, passing through the heart of Irene Fontdevila. The name of this poetic-musical project is also the name of the city where the transsiberian dies, after crossing the cold spine of Russia. They are musical compositions inspired by the verses of La matinada clara (Accent editorial, 2009) and La ciutat cansada (Proa, 2017), and created to accompany their recitation. Incidental piano music and minimal electronic bases are placed at the service of the naked voice of the verses, in order to enhance or contradict them. Therefore, an auditory but emotional result, heartfelt but calm: let the poetry enhance the music, let the music cradle the poetry.
