Vitaly Shentalinsky

He is a poet and writer who was the first to have access to the literary files of the KGB. During perestroika he founded the Commission for the Creative Heritage of Writer-Victims of the Repressions in USSR. His research is contained in The KGB 's Literary Archive (1993), considered one of the best books in France in the year of its publication. This was followed by Les surprises de la Loubianka (1996), a new compilation of the manuscripts of thousands of Russian writers. He also has published many poetry anthologies.

His books have been translated into nine languages, including French, English and Spanish.
