Artist, educator and promotor of radio projects
Violeta Ospina (Colombia, 1986).

In 2014 she moved to Barcelona to study sound art at the Universitat de Barcelona (2015) on the grant Jóvenes Talentos from ICETEX (Instituto Colombiano de Crédito Educativo y Estudios Técnicos en el Exterior). Here she committed “sound suicide of the technological man” and set up a “temporary auction house for vanished theatres” in areas undergoing unremitting gentrification, which won her an award at the 2nd Festival Ingràvid. In 2016 she joined the Ràdio Web MACBA working group and cocreated the Radia Cava-ret experimental collective. In 2018 she joined the Intimal international collective. Her work activates altered perceptions of urban buildings and objects by reawakening forgotten temporal, political and emotional relationships.
At Culturnautes 2023 she has teamed up with performer, teacher and stage explorer Patricia del Razo Martínez and performer, poet and teacher Yazel Parra Nahmens.
