Violeta Kovacsics

Violeta Kovacsics is a film critic, Doctor of Communication, and lecturer at the ESCAC and Pompeu Fabra University. She has contributed to several collective works, coordinated the book Very Funny Things. Nueva Comedia Americana (Donostia Festival) and is the author of 50 maneras de morir. Cine negro y poética de la fatalidad (UOC). He has been a member of the selection committee and is now responsible for the newspaper and catalogue of the Sitges International Film Festival and a programming consultant of the Mannheim-Heidelberg Film Festival. She is a regular contributor to the Catalunya Ràdio programme la Finestra Indiscreta and a member of the editorial board of Caimán Cuadernos de Cine magazine. She was the first woman to chair the Associació Catalana de l'Escriptura Cinematogràfica (ACCEC, Catalan Film Writing Association).
