Stéphanie Bationo

Stéphanie Bationo is an activist and member of Le Balai Citoyen, a civil society group working in twenty-eight cities around Burkina Faso in defence of democratic culture and against abuse of political power. She is one of the founders of the Le Balai Citoyen in Paris, the group’s first overseas centre which was founded with the aim of internationalising ties of solidarity and conveying the change of consciousness to the Burkina Faso community residing in Europe. As manager of the group’s social network in its early years, Stéphanie Bationo became a reference for African activism in Europe.
