Priscilla Morris
Priscilla Morris is a British author with a Bosnian mother and Cornish father. She studied Spanish, Italian, and Social Anthropology at Cambridge University, and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, where she now teaches this subject. She currently lives between Ireland and Catalonia and has recently published her first novel, Black Butterflies (Duckworth, 2022 – in Catalan, Papallones negres, Periscopi, 2025), a moving story upholding the values of solidarity and resilience that situates readers in the war that devastated Sarajevo. Black Butterflies has been translated into ten languages and has been nominated for several prestigious awards, among them the 2023 Women’s Prize.
